Vallée de la Clarée is a scenic valley in the French Alps near to Montgenèvre, Briançon and the French-Italian border. The Clarée river runs through the valley creating scenic landscape and endless compositions for landscape photographers. One of the most popular places is magnificent waterfall of Fontcouverte (Cascade de Fontcouverte), 6 km after Névache. It takes its name from a miraculous spring that was partly hidden and covered by a bush: the covered fountain.
